Before this add-on does anything

It stays completely idle until you click its icon on a page. Nothing below happens automatically, and nothing happens on any page you have not clicked it on.

When you click it on an article page, it will

• Read that page’s title, DOI and PDF link — only the page you clicked on.
• Download that PDF inside that tab, using your own browser session, so your library’s subscription applies exactly as it would if you clicked the publisher’s download link.
• Send that paper, its title, DOI and web address to your own Locus library.

Sent to joinlocus.ai, your own account there, and to no one else.

It stores on this computer

• Your Locus sign-in, so you are not asked to sign in for every paper.
• The last project you added to, so the picker defaults sensibly.

It will never

• Run on a page you have not clicked it on.
• Record your browsing history or read pages in the background.
• Send anything to any third party. There is no analytics, tracking or advertising code in this add-on, and no persistent identifier beyond your own sign-in.

Declining leaves the add-on installed and idle — it simply will not add papers. You can change your mind from its popup at any time.  ·  Full privacy notice
